The Tsadidi Street Art Festival was curated as a recreational activity for the Hogbetsotso festival of the Anlos.
Hogbetsotso Festival is celebrated on the first Saturday in November by the Anlos.
The week-long Hogbetsotso festival commemorates the migration of the Anlo-speaking Ewes, an ethnic group on the eastern coast of Ghana, from the ancient walled city of Notsie in present-day northern Togo to their current home in Ghana.
This Tsadidi Street Art Festival commemorates Ewe history, highlighting the bravery of men who liberated the Ewe-Dogbo people from the tyrannical rule of King Torgbui Agorkorli of Nortsie in Togo, using their mystical powers and heroic acts.
The maiden edition of the 2022 Tsadidi Street Art Festival witnessed art processions, fashion/art exhibitions, spoken word performances, and open mic sessions with gratifying mural graffiti around the Keta Fort Prinzentein.
