Are you passionate about combating climate change and revolutionizing the natural resource sector through entrepreneurship?
Ghana Climate University Network (GCUN) is an initiative established to bolster climate-resilient farming practices and enterprises in the natural resource sector, which contribute to adapting to and combating climate change.
It aims to facilitate their adaptation and expansion. Moreover, it seeks to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to generate more employment opportunities, thereby tackling unemployment challenges in Ghana.
Eligibility Criteria
The focus will be on projects in climate-smart agriculture and businesses aiding climate change adaptation and mitigation in the Natural Resource Sector.
Applicants must reside in Kumasi.
3rd or 4th year students, recent KNUST graduates, National service personnel, Early career entrepreneurs (<5 years after graduation)
Timetable
May 15th: Deadline for Submission of Startups
June 30th: Final Selection of Startups
November 1st: Incubation Program Commences
Selection Criteria
We’re seeking projects with innovation, scalability, bankability, and strong business potential. We value the motivation and skills of the applicants, with a particular emphasis on encouraging applications from women, minorities, physically challenged, and socially disadvantaged candidates.
